Kuwait July 2012: 4 Toyotas in Top 4, Nissan Altima up to #5

New car sales in Kuwait are up an astounding 44% year-on-year to 11,339 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 79,465 units, up 24% on 2011. For the third time in the last 4 months, there are 4 Toyotas in the Top 4: the Prado leads the way again with 1,202 sales and 10.6%, making it 8,008 sales and 10.1% over the first 7 months of the year. The Hilux ranks #2 with 7.1% of the market, ahead of the Camry at 3.8% and the Corolla at 3.1% vs. 2.4% and #7 year-to-date.

Nissan Maxima

Excellent month for the Nissan Altima, up 5 spots to #5 with 327 sales and 2.9% vs. #8 and 1.9% year-to-date, while the Hyundai Elantra at #8 (vs. #18 ytd), Hyundai Accent up 12 ranks on June to #9 (vs. #23 ytd) and Kia Cerato up 6 to #10 also shine. Other great performers in Kuwait in July include the Mitsubishi Lancer up 15 spots to #12, the Ford Expedition at #13 vs. #21 ytd, the BMW 5 Series up 14 ranks to #16, the Kia Optima up 6 to #17, the Nissan Maxima up 34 to #19, the Hyundai i20 up to #27 vs. #62 ytd, the Kia Picanto up 64 spots to #43, Ford Fusion up 96 to #54, Peugeot Partner up 55 to #67, and Nissan X-Terra and Dodge Challenger both up 26 to #72 and #82 respectively.
