Vietnam June 2012: Ford Fiesta back in Top 10

At 5,858 units in June, Vietnamese new car sales are down 23% year-on-year while June 2011 was already down 25% on the previous year… This brings the year-to-date total to 35,725 registrations, down 32% on 2011. The Toyota Fortuner confirms it is the country’s new favourite car with 431 sales and 7.4%, up from 7.2% in May and 6.9% year-to-date.
It is followed by the Toyota Vios stable at #2 with 319 units and 5.4% and the Kia Morning up 2 spots to #3 with 296 sales and 5.1%. The Toyota Corolla Altis ranks #4 again, down from #2 year-to-date, while the Toyota Innova is down 2 ranks to #5 and the Toyota Camry is stable at #6. Ford had a very solid month: the Fiesta is up 5 spots to #10, the Focus up 6 to #11, the Everest up one to #12 and the Escape up to #18.
