Polish new car sales are down 6% year-on-year in June to 26,478 units, bringing the year-to-date total to 168,853, up 7% on 2011. As usual two Skodas dominate the models ranking: the Octavia is in pole position with a solid 1,454 sales and 5.5% share followed by the Fabia at a shy 831 units and 3.1%, its lowest share in Poland since August 2011. In third place and for the very first time on the Polish podium we find the Nissan Qashqai with 709 sales and 2.7% share. Its previous record was #5 in July 2010, June 2011 and March 2012. The Qashqai is now #5 year-to-date vs. #8 in 2011.

The Opel Astra and Toyota Yaris are both down one spot to #4 and #5 respectively, while the Ford Focus is stable at #6 and the Fiat Panda is up 3 ranks to #7. Excellent performance of the Kia Cee’d up 12 spots on last month to knock at the Top 10′s door at #11 with 438 sales and 1.7%, ahead of the VW Passat (+12) and Fiat Punto (+18). The Honda Civic is stable at a shiny 16th place thanks to 371 units and 1.4%.

      Hi Marekzebra,
The figure denotes the number of spots the models gained compared to last month, not the position. The Passat is up 12 spots from #24 to #12 and the Fiat Punto is up 18 spots from #31 to #13.
      Hope this helps
      cheers
      Matt
