The Indonesian car market is breaking record after record. 2010 was already a record year at 764,710 registrations, 2011 smashed that figure at 894,180 units and 2012 is en route to break the million milestone, with 525,000 units sold halfway through the year… After hitting its highest ever monthly volume in May at 95,499 units, new car sales in Indonesia pass the 100,000 monthly sales milestone for the very first time in June at 101,743 units.

In these record times, the Indonesian models ranking is very stable, with the Top 5 unchanged vs. last month: the Toyota Avanza leads the way with 17,061 sales and 16.8% share, followed by the Toyota Innova at 6,913 and 6.8%, the Daihatsu Xenia at 6,249 and 6.1% and the Suzuki Carry Pick-up at 3,940 and 3.9%, making the June Top 4 identical to the 2012 year-to-date ranking. In 5th place we find the Suzuki Ertiga again with an excellent 3,782 sales and 3.7% share for only its third month of availability in the country. The Honda Jazz catches up on a start of the year disrupted by the Thailand floods, up 7 spots on May to #6 with 3,473 units and 3.4%.
