Bahrain May 2012: Toyota Land Cruiser & Hyundai Tucson in shape

New car sales in Bahrain are up a massive 49% to 3,677 registrations in May and up 66% year-to-date up to 18,848 units. For the second time this year after March the entire Top 5 models are 100% Toyota: the Land Cruiser leads again with 278 sales and 7.6% ahead of the Prado at 248 units and 6.7% but the Hilux is catching up with 242 sales and 6.6% vs. 5.1% in April and 4.4% year-to-date. The Corolla and Camry follow, both at 4.1% share.

Toyota FJ Cruiser

Excellent performance of the Hyundai Tucson at #6 with 137 sales and 3.7% vs. 2.3% year-to-date. Notice also the Nissan Maxima up 19 spots on April to #9, the Hyundai Azera up a huge 30 ranks to #10, the Lexus LX up 8 to #12, the Toyota FJ Cruiser up 13 to #14 and the Honda CR-V up 39 to #18.
