Canada February 2012: Dodge Grand Caravan back on podium
The Mazda CX-5 enjoys its first month of sales in Canada in February

Trucks are back in the driving seat in Canada this month with the Ford F-Series leading the way by far with 6,626 sales followed by the Dodge RAM at 4,876 sales. In fact, there is no passenger car on the podium for the first time in at least 6 months with the Dodge Grand Caravan ranking third for the first time since last April with 3,986 sales.
And there is a surprise at #4: the Hyundai Elantra reclaims the passenger car pole position at 3,356 units, ahead of the Honda Civic with 3,305 sales. Excellent performance of the new generation Honda CR-V, up 5 spots on January to a shiny 6th place thanks to 2,836 units sold. Other great performers in the Top 30 this month include the Hyundai Accent us 4 ranks to #14, the Toyota Camry up to #19 and, best of all, the Mazda2 up a massive 51 spots to a best-ever 23rd place.
Further down the ranking, the Kia Optima is up 28 ranks on January to #36, the VW Passat up 26 to #54, the Fiat 500 up 24 to #55, the Chevrolet Orlando up 18 to #60, the Infiniti G up 26 to #74, the all-new Buick Verano up 43 to #103 with 201 sales and the Mazda CX-5 makes its very first appearance in the Canadian ranking, landing directly in 118th place with 160 units sold.
