Thanks to Lorenzo I am now able to share with you a monthly update on the car market in the Mauritius island. Faithful to its 2011 pole position, the Chevrolet Cruze leads the models ranking with 43 sales and 8.3% market share but this month the Hyundai i10 is up to a brilliant second place at 36 units and 6.9% share, up from 3.8% in 2011 and relegating the Mercedes C-Class to #3 with 26 sales and 5%.
Absent from the Top 5 in 2011, the Kia Rio and Nissan Micra are up to 4th and 5th position respectively with 4.6% and 3.8% share. The i10′s success enables Hyundai to take the lead of the brands ranking this month in Mauritius with an excellent 72 sales and 13.4% share, up from 10.4% in 2011. Nissan, leader last year, is down to #2 followed by Kia.
