Philippines 2010: Toyota Vios & Mitsubishi Montero Sport shine

Finally 2010 sales figures in the Philippines are available, and it is a record year with 168,490 registrations, up 27% and beating the 1996 record of 162,056 units. The Toyota Vios is the best-selling model in the country for the third year in a row with 15,391 sales and 9.1% share, up 28%.
Mitsubishi Montero Sport
The Toyota Innova stays 2nd but sees its market share slip from 7.8% in 2009 to 7.5% this year at 12,608 units, up 22%. The Mitsubishi Montero Sport (aka Challenger) is the best-performing model in the Top 10, up 51% to 12,247 sales and 7.3% share. The Honda City at 5.3% and Toyota Fortuner at 4.5%, up 29%, follow while the Mitsubishi L300 breaks into the yearly Top 10.
