Romanian car sales are stable in September at 6,875 registrations but down 10% year-to-date at 55,881 units. No surprises for the pole position: the Dacia Logan leads for its 85th consecutive month with 1,633 sales and 23.8% share, its second highest this year so far. The Skoda Octavia stays 2nd at 6.6% and the Renault Symbol climbs onto the podium for the first time since November 2010 at #3 and 4.2% of the market.

The Dacia Duster drops 3 spots on August to #6 while the VW Polo is up 7 spots to #7 and the VW Jetta is up to #11. Other great performers this month in Romania include the Suzuki Splash up 31 spots to #28 and the BMW X6 up 20 spots to an excellent 33rd place with 45 units sold and 0.7% share, Romania being one of its best countries in the world.

Its really good to see that the new X6 is one among the best selling models in the present market, and particularly for Bimmer, it looks like it is the best selling model at present.

Car sales say a lot about the people of a country. Don’t go imagining that the (as you say, quite many) Romanian people that buy mammoths like the BMW X6 are honest, hard-working people. They’re either crooks or spoiled brats of rich people. They have no respect for the law, other drivers, and often, have no sense of reality (they commit lots of accidents, killing innocent persons). That’s why I hate BMW and other big powerful car owners. And I’m sorry it’s like that, because the cars themselves are brilliant.
