Car sales in Vietnam are up 10% this month at 10,031 sales and up 3% year-to-date at 80,678 units. The Kia Morning has done it. By ranking #1 again in September with 732 sales and 7.3%, it takes the lead of the year-to-date ranking at 4,868 units and 6% vs. 4,687 and 5.8% for the Toyota Innova, and could become the first non-Toyota model to lead year-end Vietnamese sales since at least 2003…
Toyota is meanwhile back in shape with 4 models in the Top 5: the Fortuner at #2 and 6.3%, the Corolla Altis is #3 at 6%, the Vios #4 at 5.8% and the Innova #5 at 5.5%. The other great performer this month is the Chevrolet Spark (previously known as the Daewoo Matiz Creative), up to #6 with 520 sales and 5.2% share. The Ford Fiesta is holding very well at #8 with 3.1% while the Honda Civic is back in the Top 10 at 2.1%.
