    @Essential Motoring 101
    Thanks Essential motoring 101. Nowdays, Alfa cars are imported all over the world at expensive prices. In the seventies and eigthies were assembly plants in South Africa ( Alfasud, Alfetta, Giulia, GTV, Giulietta, 33, Sprint, 1750/2000 berlina) and Malasya ( Giulia berlina and Alfasud) and Thailand´s GM assembly plant assembled the Alfa 156 a few years ago. Pity Alfa models are so expensive in certain countries such as all Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Japan. In South Africa Alfa sells about 60 cars per month.

    Congrats to the Perodua Myvi 1.5. It sure looks good and stylish. As a Malaysian, I’m proud to see our local brand growing far and fast.

    Miguel, Alfa cars are still sold in Malaysia and it is distributed by Sime Darby AutoConnexion. Yes, Fabio is right, thre are not many Alfa cars in Malaysia due to high prices and low resale prices.

    KIA and Hyundai is having a close fight. The KIA Optima will be launched very soon so expect to see some sales boost here.

    @Fabio83
    Tanks Fabio! The car world changed a lot! In the seventies Alfa and Fiat were omnipresent in malasya and have assembly plants to assemble the Alfasud, Alfa Giulia, 1750/2000 berlina, 132, 125 and 128. The police cars in malasya were Alfas Giulias berlinas like in Italy. In Thailand a huge assembly plant produced the same models in the 70´s and also some examples of the lancia beta coupé. Some time ago a connection with G.M. leaded to the assembly of Alfas 156 in Thailand. Nowadays they have 5 or 6 showroms in the countries, the cars are full imported with large tax and therefore high prices.

    @Miguel Figueira
    yes, it does!
    that’s the official Alfa Romeo website for Malaysia.
    http://www.autoitalia.com.my/

    But with only 4 showrooms in the whole Malaysia i think that it could impossible to sell so many cars.
    when FIAT were together with GM, Alfa Romeo built some 159 in Thailandia, in the city of Rayong.

    Anyone knows if Alfa romeo sell cars in Malasya? In the seventies they had an assembly plant of the alfasud and giulia berlina ( the malasyan police cars in the 70´s). They also assembled the Fiat 132 and 125.
