Denmark August 2011: Kia Picanto in pole position

Car sales in Denmark are up 4% this month at 12,256 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 113,120 units, up a massive 16%. For the first time since the launch of the new generation, the Kia Picanto takes the models ranking’s lead with 429 sales and 3.5% share.

The VW Golf, #2 at 361 units, and Hyundai i10, #3 with 360 sales, also perform very strongly in August, both at 2.9% share. The Chevrolet Spark, still #1 year-to-date, ranks 4th at 355 units. Follow the VW Polo at #5 and then the 3 ‘Kolin sisters’ one after the other: Toyota Aygo (2.8%), Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 (both at 2.4%).

Notice also the Citroen C3 up 23 spots on July to #10 and the Hyundai i40 landing directly in 48th position with 86 sales for its very first month.

      Hi Miguel,
      In August the Ford Fiesta is #55 with 78 sales in Denmark.
