Traditionally available with one month delay, July car sales in Turkey are up again year-on-year at 43,518 registrations (+5%) and year-to-date at 333,264 units (+46%). After 2 months in 2nd place, the Renault Symbol jumps back in pole position with 3,258 sales for a very robust 7.5% market share, reinforcing its 2011 year-to-date leadership at 21,835 units and 6.6%.

The Fiat Linea is down one spot to #2 this month with 2,786 sales but at 6.4% share it is still significantly above its 2011 year-to-date level at 5.7% and 19,013 units (#2). The Opel Astra Hatchback shines this month in Turkey and lands on the podium for the first time since March with 2,446 sales and an excellent 5.6% share. It is followed by the Renault Fluence (5.1%), Ford Fiesta (4.4%) and Toyota Corolla (2.8%).

Further down the ranking, notice the arrival of the new generation Ford Focus Sedan at #17 with 665 sales (old and new gen are counted separately in Turkey), the very solid 20th place of the Dacia Duster (579 units) and the Nissan Juke coming in at #25 with 408 sales.

At the end of the advert you can hear this “Hayatta bazı seyler yavassa, Punto Evo seni hizlandirir”, in English “If something slow in life, Punto Evo make you quick”. :)) To dear our girlfriends. :)

I think, Punto Evo must be upper on the list. Because of its attractive adverts they have sold lots of Punto Evo so far.

You can watch Punto Evo’s famous advert on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15QmoZRasKs
