Denmark June 2011: Opel Corsa & Ford Mondeo shine

At 17,008 units and up 17%, the Danish new car market impresses again in June, with the 1st Half total up 21% at 87,773 registrations. The Opel Corsa takes the lead this month with an excellent 565 sales and 3.3% share, maintaining its 3rd position year-to-date (2.7%).

The Toyota Aygo is #2 in June (2.9%) and year-to-date (3.1%), selling exactly the same amount (494) as its twin sister the Peugeot 107, now up to #7 year-to-date. With the Citroen C1 at 1.5% share, the ‘Kolin sisters’ add up to 7.3% this month. Excellent performance of the Ford Mondeo, up 14 spots on May to #4 with 493 sales and 2.9%, ahead of the Toyota Avensis and Peugeot 207 both at 2.8%.

Other great performers this month include the Peugeot 508 up 14 spots to #14 (its very first time in the Danish Top 15!), the Ford S-Max up 16 spots to #18 and the new gen Kia Picanto up 37 spots to #20.
