Turkey May 2011: Fiat Linea #1 for the first time!
The Turkish car market is up again by a massive 40% in May at 56,302 registrations and 62% year-to-date at 233,032 units. Big surprise this month: 4 years after its launch, the Fiat Linea manages to be the best-selling model in the country in May with 4,616 sales and 8.2% share, most probably its best scores ever… It is now #2 year-to-date with 12,317 units and 5.3%.
The traditional Turkish leaders, the Renault Symbol and Fluence, follow at 6.2% and 5.4% respectively as the Symbol keeps the year-to-date pole position with 15,119 sales and 6.5%.
Other good performers this month include the Opel Astra up to #5, the VW Jetta at #7 and the Mercedes C Class at #14. Note the Renault Latitude at #31, much higher than in its native France…
