Canada May 2011: Hyundai Elantra best-selling passenger car

The new car market in Canada is down 4% this month to 149,034 units. The Ford F-Series keeps the pole position with over 7,500 sales and 5% share and is followed by two Dodge models: the RAM pick-up and Caravan, both very solid at 3.7%.
The Hyundai Elantra is the best-selling passenger car this month with a stellar 4,780 sales and 3.2% share, ahead of the Honda Civic, down 1 spot, and the Ford Escape, up 6 spots. The Chevrolet Cruze establishes itself in the Top 10 at #9 for the 2nd month in a row, the VW Jetta is up to #11 and the Ford Focus is back in the Top 15. Fiat sells 678 units of its new 500.
