Finland May 2011: VW Golf leads, Ford Focus on podium
Finnish new car sales are up 22% in May at 12,831 registrations, bringing the year-to-date figure to 59,427 units, up 20%. The VW Golf keeps the pole position and takes its distance with the Skoda Octavia this month at 645 sales and 5% share vs. 512 and 4%. The new gen Ford Focus climbs into the podium, up 5 spots over last month at #3 with 489 units and 3.8%.
Other good performers this month include the VW Polo, up 9 spots to #9 with 261 units (2%), the Mercedes C Class up 20 spots at #11 with 240 sales (1.9%) and the Kia Venga breaking into the Top 20 for the first time in Finland at #18 with 172 units (1.3%).
