Spain April 2011: Seat Ibiza, Opel Corsa and VW Golf on podium

No sign of improvement in Spain: April car sales are down 23% at 71,808 units, bringing the year-to-date figure to 279,960 units, down 26%. The Seat Ibiza keeps the top spot with 3,096 sales at a strong 4.3% market share, but the rest of the ranking gets a bit of a shake up.

The Opel Corsa jumps up to #2 with 2,377 sales and 3.3% and the VW Golf is up to #3 at 2,151 units and 3%, both models therefore reaching their best positions in Spain this year. The Peugeot 207 (#4) and Ford Fiesta (#5) are both solid.

Great performers this month also include the VW Passat up 18 spots to #9, the Seat Altea up 12 spots at #12 and the Hyundai i20 up no less than 60 spots at #18.
