Angola 2010: Hilux & Mitsu L200 could top a dynamic market

Observation of the streets of the capital Luanda show that the Angolan car market is quite developed, and dominated by the Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200. Other very popular cars are the Chevrolet Matiz, Toyota Fortuner, Suzuki Jimny, Toyota Yaris and Chevrolet Aveo.
Based on the observation of 2009/2010 YouTube videos of the streets of Luanda, I have estimated what the Angolan Top 15 should look like. This is pure speculation so please get in touch if you have more info about car sales in Angola.

As far as the structure of the Angolan car park is concerned, there are lots of old gen Corollas and Starlets, and first gen RAV4′s in the streets, but this doesn’t seem to have translated into the last gens being part of the best-sellers in the country.

Very very close but you miss the king of the road…Toyota Hiace… the famous blue and white taxis… As well a lot of V8´s 4×4 like Tundra, F-150, Dodge Ram, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Nissan Armada. Cheers!
