Sweden 2008: new Volvo V70 #1, Saab 9-3 & V50 on podium

Swedish car sales are hit by the Global Financial Crisis in 2008 at -17% and 253,982 registrations. The new generation Volvo V70 smoothly takes the relay of the old gen and comfortably grabs the top spot at 22,070 sales and 8.7% of the market.
The Saab 9-3 stays #2 and the new gen helps it improve its market share to 5% at 12,623 units. It is followed by the Volvo V50, also increasing its share at 4.5% and 11,334 sales. The VW Golf reclaims its best-selling foreign model title in 4th position with 4.4% share and 11,198 sales, whereas in 5th, the Audi A4 delivers a best-ever 3% share at 7,509 sales.
