Austria 2003: VW Golf at 5.4%, Polo and Fabia follow

301,616 cars were registered in Austria in 2003, and seven years after its launch the VW Golf IV still manages to hold 5.4% of the market at 16,293 sales. The Golf IV was #1 every month of the year except in September when it was passed by the VW Polo, #2 overall at 10,576 sales and 3.5%.
The Skoda Fabia takes the 3rd spot at 9,963 sales (3.3%), followed by the Audi A4 (3%) and VW Passat (2.7%). Notice the excellent performances of the Mazda6 at #11 and the Fiat Stilo at #16. The new VW Golf V launches in September with 312 units sold and reaches 607 sales (#2) in December.
