Sweden 1992: Volvo 900 and Saab 9000 on top

Compared to the 340,000 units reached in 1988, the Swedish car market is at a very weak 154,173 registrations in 1992. Launched in 1990, the Volvo 900 is the best-selling model in the country this year with 12,205 sales and 7.9% market share, just above the Saab 9000 at 10,787 units and 7%. The new Volvo 850 rounds up the podium with 9,894 sales and 6.4%.

Excellent hold of the Toyota Corolla, best-selling foreign model in 4th place at 6,383 units and 4.1%, followed by the VW Golf (4%), Audi 100 (3.9%) and Ford Escort (3.4%). The Volvo 400 continues its discreet career in its native country, #8 this year at 3.1%.
