Iran January-September 2026: Peugeot 207i back on top in market off -38.1%

The Peugeot 207i has received a facelift in Iran this year.

Counting the four largest automakers in the country based on their report to Codal, the Tehran Stock Exchange, the Iranian new car market sinks -38.1% year-on-year to just 437,861 units due, of course, to the war. The Peugeot 207i (-29%) returns to the top spot it held over the Full Year 2025, overtaking the Iran Khodro Samand (-35.9%). The Saipa Tiba (-41.1%) is back up to #3 ahead of the Iran Khodro Tara (-32.3%) staying at #4. Notice also the Zamyad Z24 (-34.3%) back up to #6 and the Iran Khodro Runna (+54.1%) defying the plunging market with a sensational gain and back inside the Top 10 at #8.
