Serbia September 2026: BYD Seal U storms into pole position
The BYD Seal U is the best-selling vehicle in Serbia in September.
Data shared with us by our local partner CE Auto shows a Serbian new car market surging 27.5% year-on-year in September to 3,238 units. This means the year-to-date tally is now up 20.4% to 33,273. We have a big surprise in this month’s pole position: the BYD Seal U soars to 4.6% share and takes the overall lead. This is the first time a Chinese model tops the Serbian charts. As a result the Seal U is now #8 year-to-date. Still the faraway YTD leader, the Toyota Corolla (+14.8%) repeats at #2 while the Fiat Grande Panda is back up from outside the August Top 10 directly to a record #3, also reached last June. The Chinese are out in force this month, with the Chery Tiggo 4 scoring its first ever Serbian Top 10 at #4 and the MG ZS up to #5. Notice also the Toyota Yaris Cross up 104.8% year-on-year but down to #8 for the month.
