Poland June 2026: Market up 19%, Skoda Octavia #1, MG HS up to record 4th place
The MG HS breaks its Polish ranking record in June.
New car sales in Poland shoot up a splendid 19% year-on-year in June to 58,981 units. This means the year-to-date tally is now up 9.4% to 312,048. Toyota (+4.3%) and Skoda (+1.4%) keep the lead but significantly trail the market, unlike Volkswagen up 31.9% YoY at #3. Kia (+8.7%) overtakes BMW (+8.2%) to end the month at #4 while Dacia (+21.9%) is the only additional Top 10 member to outperform the overall growth rate. Audi (+13.2%) and Mercedes (+5.2%) are up but Renault (-11.8%) and Hyundai (-2.8%) both struggle. Below, BYD (+232.7%), Mazda (+165.5%), MG (+144.3%), Omoda (+93.4%) and Jaecoo (+93%) impress just as Chery celebrates one year in market at #19.
Over in the models charts, the Skoda Octavia (+29%) passes the Toyota Corolla (+0.7%) to sign its first win of the year with 3.6% share. It remains well below the Corolla year-to-date however. The Kia Sportage (+35.9%) holds onto the #3 spot while the MG HS (+202.7%) surges to 4th place overall, a new ranking record for the nameplate eclipsing its previous best of #5 reached last December. The Volvo XC60 (+39.5%) and Toyota Yaris Cross (+25.2%) stand out below as does the Omoda 5 (+57.6%) outside the Top 10.
