Morocco First Half 2026: Dacia Logan keeps Sandero at bay, Renault Kardian and Nissan Magnite up

According to fresh data by local association AIVAM, the Moroccan new vehicle market soars 17.6% year-on-year over the First Half 2026 to a record 131,748 units. Note this figure includes commercial vehicles which explains the discrepancy with previous updates. Local producer Dacia (+15.2%) holds onto the brands top spot with 20.6% share, even widening the gap with #2 and stablemate Renault (+11.8%) at 17.2%. Hyundai (-5.6%) endures the only YoY loss among the 8 best-selling carmakers but manages to stay in third place above Peugeot (+11.8%) and Volkswagen (+7.2%) also camping on their year-ago ranking. Citroen (+37.2%) is up four spots to #5 while Kia (+23.1%) is up two to #7. Further down, BYD (+63.3%), Nissan (+239.9%), Dongfeng (+205.5%) and MG (+98.5%) stand out. Soueast is the best selling newcomer at #23, with Deepal (#28), Jetour (#30), Lynk & Co (#33), Exeed (#36), JAC (#37) and Leapmotor (#38) also new.

Model-wise, the Top 5 is unchanged on a year ago. The Dacia Logan (+21.6%) holds onto the pole position with an improved 8.3% share, ahead of the Dacia Sandero (+17.6%) and Renault Express (+17.4%). The Renault Clio (+14.7%) and Peugeot 208 (+0.1%) trail the market and round out the Top 5. The Renault Kardian (+28.2%) and Dacia Duster (-3%) both leapfrog past the Hyundai Tucson (-25.6%) with the VW Tiguan (+23.3%) also in great shape at #9. The Citroen Berlingo (+120.7%) soars to #11 while the new Nissan Magnite is up to #14. Other newcomers include the Deepal S07 (#34), Jetour T2 (#35) and Soueast S05 (#36).
