New light vehicle sales in Iraq tumble down -26.4% year-on-year over H1 to 59,006. Kia (-27.8%) stays atop the brands charts but sees its share thaw slightly to 28.1%. On the other hand Toyota (-24.3%) grows to 22.1% from 21.4% a year ago. Nissan (-11.6%) resists well in third place with MG (-29.9%) in tow. Like over Q1, Jetour (+29.2%) is the only gainer near the top at #5, joined in the Top 10 by Great Wall (+6.9%) at #8. Soueast lands at #13, BYD at #17, Chery at #19, Denza at #28 and Exeed at #31.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-29.7%) snaps the top spot off the Kia Frontier (-36%), with Kia placing three models in the Top 4: the Sportage (-17.9%) at #3 and the Sorento (-35.2%) at #4. The Toyota Land Cruiser (-0.2%) is stable which is a splendid performance in context, and climbs three spots year-on-year to round out the Top 5. The Nissan Patrol (+121%) ignore the depleted market and soars 14 ranks to #9. Meanwhile the Jetour T1 (+659.6%) is up 48 spots to #12 and the Jetour G700 is the most popular recent launch at #28.
