Saudi Arabia January 2026: Haval (+147.5%), Isuzu (+51.9%) can’t prevent sinking market (-13.3%)
The Haval V7 has landed in Saudi Arabia.
New light vehicle sales in Saudi Arabia sink -18.1% to 55,621 units. A small part of this fall is explained by the fact Mazda didn’t report sales for the month. Its January 2025 volume was 3,740 so like for like the market is off -13.3%, still a daunting result. Brand leader Toyota (-3.6%) resists well and improves its share to 33.6% vs. 28.6% over the Full Year 2025. Hyundai (-31.7%) freefalls but stays at #2 with 13.4% share while Isuzu (+51.9%) defies the negative context with a stunning year-on-year lift and is up to #3 with 9% share vs. 5% over the FY2025. Kia (-30.1%) and Ford (-14%) are pushed down to #4 and #5 respectively. Meanwhile Suzuki (+28.5%), Jetour (+51.7%) and most spectacularly Haval (+147.3%) all register splendid upticks.
Over in the models charts, the Hyundai Accent (+2.2%) takes the lead with 5.5% share but the true leader is once again the Toyota Camry, with its petrol (+11.8%) and hybrid (+17.4%) variant adding up to 8.2% share. The Toyota Yaris Sedan (-12.5%) is in difficult at #3 and distances the Isuzu N-Series (+104.5%) and Toyota Hilux (+8%). The Suzuki Swift Dire (+48.8%) and Isuzu D-Max (+22%) also sport stunning gains in the remainder of the Top 10. The Haval V7 lands directly at #46.
