Hungary Full Year 2025: Suzuki S-Cross signs third win in past four years
The Suzuki S-Cross is the best-selling vehicle in Hungary in 2025.

129,440 new passenger cars found a buyer in Hungary in 2025, a solid 6.4% year-on-year increase over the 121,609 of last year. Local producer Suzuki (-9.2%) holds onto the brand top spot but loses almost two percentage points of market share to 11%. Toyota (-5.2%) is also in difficulty but manages to remain in 2nd place with 10.7% share. In fact the Top 7 is unchanged on 2024, with Ford (+23.6%), BMW (+21.9%) and Kia (+13%) sporting the largest improvements and Volkswagen (+1.8%) and Skoda (+0.6%) weaker. BYD (+67.8%) signs the biggest gain in the Top 20 and is up to #17, peaking at #7 in December, with Peugeot (+32.2%), Dacia (+20.6%), Renault (+18.7%) and MG (+13.3%) also making themselves noticed. Tesla is down -8.6% and three spots to #19.
The Suzuki S-Cross (-1.6%) reclaims the annual top spot off the Suzuki Vitara (-18.8%), the latter falling to #3. This is the third time in the past 4 years that the S-Cross is the best-seller “at home” (aka where it is produced). The Skoda Octavia (-5.9%) is also up one spot to #2. Excellent score for the Dacia Duster (+12.7%) lifted by the new generation to #4. It leapfrogs past the Nissan Qashqai (-9.6%) and Kia Ceed (-2.6%). The Toyota Yaris Cross (+34.3%) also manages a stellar result and climbs 5 spots to #7, reaching a record #3 in November. Other great performers include the Hyundai Tucson (+27.6%) up to #11, the Toyota Corolla Cross (+23.7%) up to #13, the Ford Puma (+22.9%) up to #16 and the VW T-Roc (+32.9%) up to #19.
