Finland Full Year 2025: Toyota monopolises Top 4, Yaris Cross signs first win

The Toyota Yaris Cross is the best-selling vehicle in Finland in 2025.

The Finnish new car market edges down -2.8% year-on-year in 2025  to just 70,612 units. This is the lowest annual volume in 31 years: since the 67,201 sales of 1994. Toyota (-8.8%) loses over one percentage point of market share to 16.1% but easily stays atop the brands ranking. Volkswagen (+21.6%) leapfrogs past Skoda (-4%) and Volvo (-25%) to reach the 2nd place overall. Kia (+4.2%) closes out the Top 5 like last year. Ford (+32.1%) and Audi (+19.1%) both post fantastic gains and return to the Top 10 at #9 and #8 respectively. In contrast Tesla (-29.6%) sinks to #10. Below, Polestar (+66.3%), Dacia (+65.3%) and Renault (+54.7%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris Cross (-1.9%) is up one spot to sign its first ever annual win in the country. In fact Toyota monopolises the Top 4 for the first time with the Yaris (-1.2%) up two spots to #2 followed by the Corolla (-27.7%) down two to #3 and the RAV4 (+34.6%) up 8 to #4. Leader in 2023, the Tesla Model Y (-21.9%) falls to #5 ahead of the Skoda Enyaq (+5.1%) and Volvo XC60 (+1.3%) both advancing in the ranking. The VW ID.4 (+20.7%) and Kia Ceed (+3%) also defy the negative market in the remainder of the Top 10. New for 2025, the Skoda Elroq lands at #11 and ranked #3 in July and December. Notice also the 7th place of the Smart #5 in December, the nameplate’s best ever world ranking.
