Denmark Full Year 2025: Skoda Elroq instant best-seller

New car sales in Denmark advance 6.7% year-on-year in 2025 to 184,638 units. Volkswagen (+44.9%) vastly increases its footprint, going from 11.6% to 15.7% share. Skoda (+77%) does even better and climbs 5 spots to #2, with its share improving from 6.3% to 10.4%. Mercedes (+5%), Audi (+9.9%) and BMW (+16.4%) are all up one rank to #3, #4 and #5 respectively. Cupra (+181.1%) is the performer of the year, up 9 spots to #6 and 6% share and peaking at #3 in February. Hyundai (+23.3%) and Renault (+21.7%) also shine, whereas Toyota (-22.7%) sinks four ranks to #7 and Tesla (-41%) collapses to #8 vs. #2 in 2024.

Over in the models charts, we have a brand new best-seller. The Skoda Elroq, launched in January, spectacularly takes control of the ranking with over 10,000 sales and 5.8% share. It was #1 seven times this year. The VW ID.4 (+51.4%) brilliantly repeats at #2 and improves its share from 3.3% to 4.6%. Leader in 2023 and 2024, the Tesla Model Y (-26.8%) skids down to #3 and 4.2% but was still #1 in September and December. The Skoda Enyaq (+5.9%) drops one spot to #4, followed by the VW ID.3 (+73.6%) up three to #5 and the Audi Q4 e-Tron (-9.8%) down one to #6. The VW ID.Buzz (+662.6%) surges 78 ranks to #7. The Kia EV3 (+434.6%) ends its first full year of sales at #9 while the Renault 5 lands directly at #10.
