248,719 new cars hit Czech roads in 2025, a sturdy 7.4% year-on-year improvement. Local behemoth Skoda (+7.4%) exactly matches its home market to stay at 33.7% share. It peaked at 38% in September. Hyundai (+1.8%) remains in 2nd place with 8.3% share, followed like last year by Toyota (-1.9%) and Volkswagen (+6.6%). Dacia (+24.1%) lodges the biggest gain in the Top 8 and steps up one spot to #5, overtaking a muted Kia (+1.2%). The rest of the Top 10 is identical to 2024, with Renault (+35.7%) and Ford (+18.8%) faring best above BMW (+5.9%) and Mercedes (+3.8%). Cupra (+96.4%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year and advances to #15, Nissan is up 52.4% to #20 and Tesla crumbles -47.7% to #21. Jaecoo lands at #25.

Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-5.6%) retains the top spot for the 16th time in the past 17 years, a streak that started in 2009. The only missing year is 2021 when the Fabia was #1. It however loses one full percentage point of market share, going from 8.4% to 7.4%. For the third straight and ever, Skoda monopolises the Top 6. It even placed 7 models in the Top 7 in March and October, making it the 7th time it happens after January 2022, April 2023, May 2023, July 2024 and September 2024. The Kamiq surges 21.5% to a record 2nd place overall, overtaking the Karoq (+5.6%) and Kodiaq (+5.1%) both down one spot. The Fabia (+7.8%) passes the Scala (+1%) to round out the Top 5. The Hyundai i30 (-8.2%) remains the best-selling foreigner (although produced locally) and peaked at #2 in December. The Skoda Elroq is the most popular new launch at #15 followed by the Dacia Bigster at #23 and peaking at #12 in December.
