Chile Full Year 2025: Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200 and GWM Poer on top

310,598 new vehicles found a buyer in Chile in 2025, a small 2.7% year-on-year lift. Toyota (+3.2%) remains the most popular carmaker in the country with 7.8% share, unchanged on 2024. Hyundai (+3.9%) follows like last year while Suzuki (+7.9%) and Kia (+0.3%) both overtake a struggling Chevrolet (-11.5%). Changan (+24.2%) is the best performer in the Top 10, up two spots to #9. GWM (+6.3%) also beats the market at #7. Below, notice Chery (+24.5%), Mazda (+20.7%) and Volkswagen (+18.8%), with Geely (+135.5%) and Omoda+Jaecoo (+92.1%) surging ahead further down. All in all, Chinese manufacturers are up 9.8% to 32.1% share vs. 30% a year ago.
Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-2.2%) threepeats at #1 with 2.8% share, conforming Chile is one of the most fragmented markets in the world. The Mitsubishi L200 (+0.1%) and GWM Poer (+15.4%) also camp on their 2024 positions and ensure the podium is unchanged on last year. The Peugeot Partner (+28.7%) advances four spots to #4 while a newcomer, the Chery Tiggo 2, lands directly at #5. Solid scores also in the remainder of the Top 10 for the Suzuki Baleno (+22.5%), GWM Jolion (+11.3%) and Kia Soluto (+11.1%). Below, the Omoda C5 (+77.1%), Mazda CX-5 (+61.7%) and Hyundai Tucson (+31.4%) impress.
