Bulgaria Full Year 2025: Toyota and Corolla back on top in record market

The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in Bulgaria in 2025.

The year 2025 amounted to 55,207 new registrations in Bulgaria, a new record and up 11.3% year-on-year. Keep in mind Bulgaria is the king of re-exports to other countries in the European Union so many of these cars never actually see local roads. Toyota (+36.2%) surges ahead to reclaim to brands top spot with 11.4% share vs. 11.1% for last year’s leader Skoda (-3.3%). As a reminder Toyota already ranked #1 in 2022 and 2023. Dacia (+19%) stays at #3 just as Renault (+20.9%) and Volkswagen (+13.7%) complete the Top 5 like last year. Citroen (+45.4%), up five spots to #8, and Hyundai (+32.3%) up two to #6, also make themselves noticed.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Corolla (+14%) edges past the Skoda Octavia (-2.6%) to claim its 2nd ever annual win in Bulgaria after 2022. The Renault Clio (+69.5%) soars five spots to #3, distancing the Dacia Duster (+46%) up three to #4 and the Dacia Sandero (+7.3%) down one to #5. The Kia Sportage (+12.1%) is solid a repeats at #6 while the Dacia Jogger (-12.9%) takes a hit and falls from #3 to #7. Below, the VW T-Roc (+64.2%), Skoda Karoq (+60.2%) and Hyundai Tucson (+52.3%) impress with fantastic lifts, The Dacia Bigster is the best-selling 2025 launch at #18 and even peaked at #2 in November.
