Russia October 2025: Locally assembled Tenet lands at #5, Haval, Belgee and Solaris break records

Tenet cracks the Russian Top 10 for the first time at #5.

165,702 new cars found a buyer in Russia in October, a -3.2% year-on-year loss. The year-to-date volume is now down -19.9% to 1,061,625. Lada (-25.8%) is in freefall to just 20.1% share, its lowest since November 2022 (19.6%). In contrast Haval (+9.8%) rises to a record volume and share at 26,126 and 15.8%. Never before had Haval been so close to the #1 spot. Meanwhile Geely (-17%) is in difficulty at #3 but still surpass its YTD share at 8.6% vs. 7.2%. Belarusian Belgee (+148%) passes the 10,000 monthly sales milestone for the very first time and repeats at a record #4. The event of the month is the arrival of local carmaker Tenet at #5 with 5.2% share, all the more impressive as the brand launched in August. Tenet is a China-Russia joint venture which assembles rebadged Chery vehicles at the Kaluga plant, previously owned by Volkswagen. Below imploding Chery (-56.6%) and Changan (-42%), Solaris (+171.4%) reaches all time high volumes and share. Toyota (+18.5%) defies the negative market with a surprising lift.

Over in the models charts, The Lada Granta (-28.4%) retains the top spot but falls to 9.2% share, its lowest since April 2022 (7.9%). The Haval Jolion (-19%) threepeats at #2 but remains below the Lada Vesta (-34.2%) year-to-date. The Geely Monjaro (+23.7%) reaches a best-ever ranking at #4 (also hit in December 2023, January, February and March 2024) and 6,435 sales (previous best 5,202 in October 2024). The Haval M6 (+69.4%) is also in great shape at #5. After breaking into the Top 10 for the first time last month (#9), the Belgee X70 (+387.6%) becomes the brand’s best-seller at #6. Strikingly, Tenet places two models inside the Top 10 this month: the T4 (Chery Tiggo 4) at #7 and the T7 (Chery Tiggo 7L) at #10. The Lada Niva Legend (-24.4%) stays inside the Top 10 at #9.
