Germany private sales October 2025: VW T-Roc ultra dominant

The VW T-Roc is by far the favourite of German private buyers in October.

86,046 new cars found a private buyer in Germany in October for a Private Sales Ratio (PSR) of 34.4%. This is up 11.7% on October 2024 when the PSR was 33.2%. Year-to-date volumes are up 4.8% YoY to 802,564 and 34% PSR vs. 32.6% over the same period in 2024. This month the VW T-Roc is miles above the competition, selling more than twice the amount of any other car in market at almost 4,000 units for a 60.6% PSR. The Mercedes A-Class is up to #2 vs. #32 in the general ranking with a PSR of 74.6%. The VW ID.3 stays at a brilliant third place with 55.6% PSR and vs. #10 year-to-date. The BMW X1 is up 31 spots on last month to #4 (42.1% PSR), the Skoda Elroq is up to #5 and the Dacia Bigster is the brand’s best-seller at #7 and 85.3% PSR.
