China imports October 2025: Suzuki (+292.2%), Mini (+77.1%) stand out in market off -17.3%
Imported Mini sales are up 77.1% year-on-year in October.
Imports of new cars in China continue to contract in October at -17.3% year-on-year to 40,194. This way, the year-to-date tally is now down -12.7% to 457,620. Lexus (-5.6%) resists better than the market to lead the brands charts by far, distancing a freefalling Mercedes (-30%). BMW (+7.5%) once again defies the negative context but stays at #3. Porsche (-17.1%) and Toyota (-4.2%) overtake Land Rover (-36.8%), with Audi (-46.8%) and Volvo (-44.1%) both in hell. Suzuki (+292.2%) and Mini (+77.1%) both soar in the remainder of the Top 10, the latter in parallel with locally assembled vehicles.
Model-wise, the Top 4 is unchanged on year-to-date, with the Lexus ES (+3.6%) and RX (+0.7%) in the lead followed by the Mercedes GLE (-31%) and Lexus NX (-44.5%). The BMW 4 Series (-1%) advances one spot on last month to #5 while the Porsche Cayenne (-16.8%) is up two to #6. Notice also the BMW 7 Series (+97.6%), 2 Series (+85.6%) and Toyota Land Cruiser (+16.8%) all managing excellent scores.
