Yemen January-September 2025: Sales up 28.1%, Toyota at 89.7% share

The Toyota Hilux is the most popular vehicle in Yemen.

New light vehicle sales surge 28.1% year-on-year in Yemen over the first 9 months of the year to 8,290 units. Toyota (+21.2%) remains ultra dominant but sees its share thaw from 94.7% last year to 89.7% now. Lexus (+215.5%) and Isuzu (+231.5%) both triple their year-ago volumes to complete the podium. Suzuki (+64.9%), Hyundai (+225.9%) and Nissan (+1925%) also impress below. Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+2.8%) is still the favourite but goes from 39.8% share last year to 32%. The Toyota Land Cruiser (+36.2%) and Land Cruiser Pickup (+54.8%) are more dynamic. The Toyota Fortuner (+6%) and Prado (+27.8%) complete the Top 5 ahead of the Isuzu N-Series (+252%) and Lexus LX (+144.4%).
