Lebanon January-September 2025: Toyota Hilux snaps top spot in market off -14.7%

The Toyota Hilux is the #1 vehicle in Lebanon in 2025 so far.

It’s a disappointing year so far in Lebanon, with new car sales off -14.7% over the first 9 months of 2025 to just 14,699 units. Brand leader Toyota (-22.4%) falls even faster to 35.4% share vs. 38.9% last year. Mitsubishi (+37.9%) goes completely against the grain with a fantastic YoY gain leading it to 2nd place overall with 10.4% share vs. 6.4% a year ago. In contrast Nissan (-71.5%) implodes to just 9% of the market vs. 27.1% over the same period in 2024. Suzuki (+76.4%) and Kia (+22.9%) impress in the remainder of the Top 5. Below, Jetour (+191.6%), Land Rover (+59.2%) and Hyundai (+50.6%) stand out.

The Toyota Hilux (+10.4%) steps up to the models pole position with 10.6% share vs. 8.2% a year ago, it distances last year’s leader the Toyota Land Cruiser (-58.6%). The Mitsubishi L200 (+321.6%) is up 4-fold year-on-year to land in third place vs. #17 over the same period in 2024. The Toyota Prado (+3.5%) is up three spots to #4 while the Nissan Sunny (-82.2%) and Patrol (-73.8%) crater to #5 and #6 respectively. The Hyundai i10 (+382.6%), Jetour T2 (+288.2%), Toyota Raize (+132.1%) and Kia Picanto (+79.7%) all post spectacular gains in the remainder of the Top 10.
