Czechia September 2025: Renault (+89.3%), Dacia (+68.4%) highlight strong market (+17.1%)

The Captur is the best-selling Renault in Czechia in September.

It’s a very solid month for new car sales in Czechia at +17.1% year-on-year to 21,370 units. The year-to-date volume is now up 6.1% to 182,437. Local behemoth Skoda (+14.5%) reaches its highest share since October 2024 at 38% vs. 29.3% last month. September is traditionally a strong month for Skoda. Toyota (+34.7%) is in outstanding shape and bypasses Hyundai (+5%) to rank #2 for the third time in the past 5 months. Volkswagen (+13.2%) stays at #4 while Kia (-2.2%) disappoints at #5. Renault (+89.3%) and Dacia (+68.4%) deliver the biggest gains in the Top 10 while below, Cupra (+273.4%), Citroen (+148.6%) and MG (+43.8%) stand out. Tesla crashes -64.6% at #18.

Over in the models charts, after being interrupted by the Toyota Corolla last month (#5), Skoda is back to total hegemony, placing six models in the Top 6. The Octavia (+8.4%) stays #1 by far with 8.4% share, distancing the Karoq (-11.6%) and Fabia (+53.1%) both at 5.1%. The Kamiq (+3.3%), Scala (+37.6%) and Kodiaq (+13.7%) follow. This time the best of the rest is the Hyundai i30 (+9%) at #7 ahead of the Toyota Corolla (+175%) in stunning shape, the Skoda Superb (-24.2%) and Kia Ceed (-16.4%) both performing poorly. The new Skoda Elroq is back up 19 spots on August to #13, its highest ranking since last May (#12). It’s the #1 EV in the country but its results are lukewarm.
