Cyprus September 2025: BYD up to #7 with 5% share

BYD holds 5% of the Cypriot market for its third month of sales.

According to data shared with us by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, the Cyprus new car market is up 6.8% year-on-year in September to 1,432 units, but the year-to-date tally is down -4.1% to 11,803. Kia (-2.8%) easily holds onto the brands top spot with 14.8% share, albeit well below its YTD level of 16.1%. Toyota (+51.9%) surges ahead to 11.2% share and reclaims the #2 YTD spot off Hyundai (-6.1%) in the process. Nissan (+137.7%) is in tremendous shape at #3 ahead of a struggling Volkswagen (-36.4%). Renault (+240.7%) delivers the biggest gain in the Top 20 at #6 and 6.4% share. BYD storms into 7th place with 5% share for its third month in market. The Kia Stonic (+11.4%) is the best-seller for the month above the Renault Arkana and Toyota C-HR.
