Slovenia August 2025: Renault Clio and VW T-Roc dominate, sales up 16.2%
The VW T-Roc is the 2nd most popular vehicle in Slovenia in August.
4,272 new cars hit Slovenian roads in August, a solid +16.2% year-on-year improvement. This means the year-to-date tally is now up 8.1% to 39,515. Volkswagen (+16%) matches the market to cement its domination in the brands ranking with 14.4% share. In contrast Renault (-3.7%) and Skoda (-5%) are in difficulty below. Toyota (+4.4%) is also pushy while Hyundai (+72.5%) excels. Opel (+89.5%) and Ford (+36.8%) also vastly beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Forthing (+296%), Tesla (+159.1%), Nissan (+153.8%) and MG (+106.7%) stand out further down.
Over in the models ranking, the Renault Clio (+46.1%) surges ahead to clearly dominate the models charts with 6.2% share vs. 4.5% so far this year. The VW T-Roc (+111.8%) does even better and soars 9 spots on last month to #2 with 3.4% of the market vs. 1.9% YTD where it ranks #10. This is the nameplate’s best result since August 2023 when it was #1 overall. The Skoda Octavia (+10.8%) is relegated to third place for the month but stays #2 year-to-date. The next 6 models clearly outpace the market. The Forthing T5 Evo (+291.7%) is the best performer, followed by the Nissan Qashqai (+187.5%), VW T-Cross (+96.3%), Peugeot 2008 (+63.5%), Hyundai Tucson (+54.1%) and Skoda Kamiq (+32.9%).
