Morocco July 2025: Skoda (+85.3%), Renault (+51.8%) shine, BYD breaks record
Skoda sales are up 85.3% year-on-year in July.
With a bit of delay we can share with you today July data for Morocco. It’s a sixth consecutive surge (20%+) for the Moroccan new light vehicle market at +38.6% YoY to 19,713 units. This includes 17,708 passenger cars (+39.4%) and 2,005 light commercials (+32.1%). The year-to-date PC volume is up 20.4% to 117,017. Dacia (+30.8%) easily maintains its grip on the charts with 21.1% share vs. 23.3% so far this year. It is followed as usual by Renault (+51.8%) at 15.1% vs. 17.1%. Hyundai (+37.8%), Peugeot (+30.5%) and Volkswagen (+45.7%) ensure the Top 5 is identical to June and year-to-date. Citroen (+1.4%) is shy YoY but back up 5 spots on June to #6, distancing a struggling Opel (-0.7%). Skoda (+85.3%) and Kia (+47.7%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, BYD (+5077.8%) continues to charge ahead, up two ranks on last month to #11 which is a new Moroccan ranking record for the brand.
