Croatia August 2025: Opel (+422%) repeats at #1
The Opel Corsa is the best-selling vehicle in Croatia for the 2nd month running.
3,645 new cars found a buyer in Croatia in August, the weakest month of the year and a sturdy 10.6% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date volume is up 7.2% to 51,098. After delivering its first win in 3 years last month, Opel (+422%) doubles down and multiplies its year-ago volume by 5 to repeat at #1. Skoda (-2.5%) and Volkswagen (-21.6%) struggle but still complete the podium like in July. Suzuki (+38.7%) and Dacia (+22.6%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10, ranking #4 and #6 respectively. These are the only two additional gainers in the Top 10. Below, Seat (+263%), Citroen (+100%) and Cupra (+34.2%) stand out.
Over in the models charts, the Opel Corsa (+3716.7%!) repeats at #1 with a dominant 6.3% share. Still #1 year-to-date, the Skoda Octavia (-1.2%) is back up one spot on July to #2 with the Suzuki Vitara (+54.4%) closing out the podium ahead of the Opel Mokka (+137.9%). Boosted by promotions on the outgoing generation, the VW T-Roc (+83.3%) surges from outside the July Top 20 directly to 5th place, the nameplate’s best ranking since May 2022 (#3). The Renault Captur (+137.5%), Dacia Duster (+86%) and Suzuki S-Cross (+71.2%) also impress among the Top 10 vehicles. Finally, notice the very first Top 20 finish for the Forthing T5 Evo at #19.
