Yemen H1 2025: Toyota Land Cruiser, LC Pickup catch up on Hilux
Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup sales double year-on-year in Yemen.
The Yemeni new car market surges 30.6% year-on-year over the First Half of 2025 to 5,196 units. As usual, Toyota (+22.2%) suffocates the charts with 88.3% share even though this is lower than the 94.4% it commanded a year ago. Lexus (+189.2%) improves to 4.1% share, while Isuzu (+342.9%), Suzuki (+79.6%), Nissan (+2600%) and Hyundai (+420%) also manage surreal YoY gains. Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (+1.4%) remains the most popular but sees its share fall from 43.9% a year ago to 34.1% now. The Toyota Land Cruiser (+55.7%) and Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup (+99.7%) all post markedly superior shares compared to a year ago, with the Toyota Fortuner (+10.3%) and Prado (+5.1%) a lot more discreet to round out the Top 5.
