Saudi Arabia H1 2025: Hyundai Accent and Kia Pegas on top, Toyota Camry “true” leader

The Kia Pegas surges to 2nd place in Saudi Arabia in 2025.

The Saudi new car market continues to evolve at height not seen in a decade, with H1 volumes up a round 10% to 409,772. Of course Toyota (+6.2%) remains the faraway leader in the brands charts with 26.7% share, one percentage point below its year-ago result. Hyundai (+7.8%), at 15.1% share, does slightly better yet remains below the market growth rate.  But the next five carmakers all post double-digit gains. Mazda (+60.6%) is the most dynamic, followed by Isuzu (+31.1%), Kia (+22%), Ford (+18.6%) and Nissan (+18%). Further down, notice GMC (+56%), Jetour (+52.2%) up to #13 with 2% share and Haval (+37.3%).

Model-wise, the Hyundai Accent (+11.6%) ascends to first place, and by a large margin at 4.7% share. The Kia Pegas (+69.7%) shoots up 5 spots to #2 overall, with the Toyota Camry (+1%) rather timid at #3. As always an important caveat is the fact the Camry would be the best-seller with 5.9% share once HEV versions are added, the latter ranking at #9 alone with sales up 39%. Leader over the Full Year 2024, the Toyota Yaris Sedan (-73.3%) collapses to #22, probably due to stock shortages. The Hyundai Elantra (+21.2%) and Toyota Hilux (-4.1%) round out the Top 5 above a surging Toyota Corolla (+44.2%). The Isuzu N-Series (+62.1%) at #8 Ford Taurus (+41.4%) at #7 markedly improve their ranking compared to a year ago. The Mazda6 (+139.7%) and Toyota Urban Cruiser (+104.8%) stand out below.
