Mexico July 2025: Nissan Magnite breaks into Top 10

The Nissan Magnite is up to #9 in Mexico in July.

124,482 new light vehicles hit Mexican roads in July, stable year-on-year at -0.4%. This is the third largest July volume in Mexican history below the revised 124,996 units of July 2024 and the record of  131,772 units from July 2016. However the real total volume is much higher as the Chery Group stopped sharing sales and isn’t included. Year-to-date sales are also stable at -0.1% to 833,905. Nissan (+13.3%) vastly outperforms what is almost its home market, reaching 19% share vs. 18.2% so far this year. Chevrolet (-8.6%), Volkswagen (-4.6%) and Toyota (-5.4%) all struggle below. In contrast Mazda (+17.1%), Kia (+5%) and Hyundai (+3.7%) are in positive but no additional Top 10 carmaker makes it in the black. Ram (+78.5%) once again surges ahead at #12 with Changan (+296.6%) even more dynamic at #16.

Over in the models charts, the Nissan Versa (+3.4%) easily keeps the lead with 6.5% of the market vs. 3.9% for the #2, the Kia K3 (+21.5%). The Chevrolet Aveo is stable at #3, overtaking the Nissan NP300 (-6.1%). The MG 5 (+28.9%) rallies back up 46 spots on June to #5 with 2.4% share, thanks to the refreshed model. The Mazda CX-30 (+50.5%) and Hyundai Grand i10 (+67.3%) do even better below. The new Nissan Magnite is up 13 ranks on last month to break into the Mexican Top 10 for the firs time at #9. The Kicks (-2.8%) ensures there are 5 Nissans in the July Top 10.
