Belgium July 2025: Dacia (+71.5%), Hyundai (+99%) impress

Dacia sales are up 71.5% year-on-year in July.

New car sales in Belgium slow down their fall in July, dropping -1.7% year-on-year to 31,613 units. This means the YTD tally is now down -9.9% to 266,229. Volkswagen (-4.8%) is the best-selling carmaker for the 2nd time in the past 3 months but remains well below BMW (-23.5%), in great difficulty this month, in the year-to-date charts. There, BMW has 11% of the market vs. 9.6% for Volkswagen. Dacia (+71.5%) delivers the biggest gain in the Top 10, with sister brand Renault (+21.9%) the only additional gainer. Meanwhile Peugeot (-21.3%) and Toyota (-13.7%) struggle. Below, Hyundai (+99%), Ford (+56.6%), Opel (+52.5%) and Citroen (+25%) shine. Tesla freefalls -57.7%.
