Kia sales are up 64.6% year-on-year in April.
25,405 new vehicles found a buyer in the United Arab Emirates in April, that’s a splendid 22.8% year-on-year surge. The year-to-date tally is now up 10.5% to 106,459. Toyota (+23.8%) follows the market to 25.3% share, now selling more than double #2 Nissan (+1.5%), very weak. Mitsubishi (+22.3%) stays in third place above MG (+12.6%), displacing Jetour (+69.9%). Kia (+64.6%), Hyundai (+57.7%) and Ford (+28.9%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. We welcome Soueast at #39, the resurrected Chinese brand proposes rebadged Jetour models.
The Toyota Hilux (+145.4%) reclaims the top spot this month, toppling the Nissan Patrol (+20.4%). However the Patrol stays at #1 year-to-date albeit for just 48 sales. The Toyota Land Cruiser SW (+22.9%) rounds out the podium as it does so far this year. The Jetour T2 (+81.5%) also confirms it is the 4th most popular model in the country with the Ford Territory (+65.7%) closing the Top 5.
