Saudi Arabia Q1 2025: Hyundai Accent on top, Mazda6 (+234%) and Ford Taurus (+63.6%) shine

A new generation of Ford Taurus is on sale in the Middle East.

The Saudi new car market is up by a very solid 12.2% year-on-year over Q1 2025 to 220,387 units. Toyota (+9.1%) stays on top of the brands charts with 25.6% share, distancing Hyundai (+22.2%) at 15.2%. Kia (+27.4%) overtakes Nissan (+21.7%) to close out the podium ahead of Ford (+30.3%) and Mazda (+78.8%) both also outpacing the market. Geely (-25.9%), Changan (-20.4%), Suzuki (-8.5%) and Isuzu (-1.6%) are in trouble below. Jetour (+57.7%) advances to #14 while GMC (+152.8%), Peugeot (+110.1%) and Land Rover (+41.8%) all excel further down. Tank lands at #26.

Model-wise, the Hyundai Accent (+20.9%) edges past the 10,000 sales mark to snap the top spot with 4.5% share. Relatively far below are the Kia Pegas (+26.6%), Hyundai Elantra (+72.5%), Toyota Camry (+6.4%) and Mazda6 (+234%), making the Top 6 100% sedans, a striking feat in this SUV-dominated world. Once again the Toyota Camry would be #1 overall when adding its HEV variant that is now counted separately. Excellent performances also by the Nissan X-Trail (+74.4%), Ford Taurus (+63.6%) and Toyota Corolla (+35.5%).
